Our Game Plan The Bridgeport Islanders are looking for a team of dedicated Seasonal Interns for the 2025-26 season. As the AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, we pride ourselves on providing top-tier entertainment and engaging content to our fanbase that stretches from Fairfield County all the way across the Long Island Sound.
We are hiring a Seasonal Intern in Creative Services. If you are passionate about the game of hockey and growing your career in the sports & entertainment industry, then we want to get to know you.
How to Make the Team Members of our internship program are key teammates of the Islanders and help us work on all gameday entertainment and fan experience initiatives as we put on an exciting show for fans. They are dedicated to helping our team throughout the season and are ideally available for all regular season home games through their internship term.
These roles require a 'can do' attitude and will reside within the Islanders Marketing team and will report directly to the department leads in accordance with their position.
Show Us You Can - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro) or comparable design/video editing tools
- Strong ability to design engaging static graphics for social media, digital, and in-arena use
- Experience creating motion graphics and animations to enhance team and event branding
- Knowledge of short-form video content creation
- Basic knowledge of photography and videography (shooting, editing, color correction, audio syncing)
- Ability to adapt brand guidelines into fresh, creative designs that resonate with sports and entertainment audiences
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
What Skills You'll Use - Reliability : Have reliable transportation to and from Total Mortgage Arena for games
- Flexibility : Ability to work all Bridgeport Islanders home games for the 2025-26 season
- Accountability : Take complete ownership of your work
Your Equipment - Experience or relevant coursework around graphic design is preferred, but not required
- Submission of a portfolio or past work created
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Flexibility with your schedule and available to work Bridgeport Islanders home regular season games as needed
- Passionate and invested in your work
- Professionalism regarding deadlines and punctuality
- A motivated self-starter with a no-task-too-small attitude
Where You'll Go - During the season, you will primarily report to the arena for both office hours and home games. You will also be requested to attend off-site events in the community during nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
