Job Description

As a Billing Specialist, you will ensure accurate and timely billing for healthcare claims, maintaining professionalism and patient confidentiality.

*JOB SUMMARY:*

The role requires a commitment to proper reimbursement processes, with a preference for prior healthcare credentialing experience.

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*

• Follow up on insurance account balances for various medical divisions.

• Utilize claims control modules for accounts receivable follow-up.

• Contact insurance plans regarding outstanding claims and manage resubmissions/appeals.

• Submit requested medical records and correct claim denials.

• Handle incoming billing inquiries and perform pre-bill and claims corrections.

• Additional duties as assigned by management.

*REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:*

High School Diploma (or GED), with 5 years in medical billing and 2 years of billing experience preferred.

*REQUIRED SKILLS:*

Strong communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, and knowledge of medical billing and terminology are essential.

*PHYSICAL DEMANDS:*

The role involves sitting, using hands, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds in a quiet indoor environment.

Job Type: Full-time, Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour, Expected hours: 40 per week.
