The Ontario Center, formerly the Richland Mall, is an enclosed, regional center featuring more than 40 stores and four eateries, anchored by JCPenney. It serves as the only enclosed shopping center within a 40-mile radius and is conveniently located just minutes from I-71 and OH-30. The center is in close proximity to both North Central State College and The Ohio State University-Mansfield Campus!

Job Description:

We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our guest services team at The Ontario Center. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all mall visitors, tenants, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning of common areas, including floors, restrooms, food courts, entrances, elevators, and escalators
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors
• Empty trash bins and replace liners regularly
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels
• Wipe down surfaces such as handrails, benches, windows, and glass doors
• Respond to cleaning emergencies promptly (e.g., spills, restroom issues)
• Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs (e.g., leaks, broken fixtures)
• Assist with setup and cleaning for mall events or seasonal displays
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company procedures

Requirements:

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Stand and walk for prolonged periods
• Regularly lift, move and/or carry up to ten (10) pounds; Frequently lift, move and/or carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds; occasionally lift move and/or carry up to fifty (50) pounds
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays

Work Shifts:

• 11a -8p Monday through Saturday
• 12p -7p on Sundays

Other Abilities:

• Pass pre-employment background screening
• Pass pre-employment drug test
• Reliable transportation
