Sierra Lobo, Inc. (SLI) offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies. We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems. The Graphics & Marketing Specialist is responsible for producing high-quality, technically accurate, and visually compelling graphics for government proposals, while also supporting Sierra Lobo's broader marketing and communications initiatives. This role is critical to clearly communicating complex technical concepts and enhancing the company's external and internal brand presence.

Job Title: Graphics & Marketing Specialist

Location: Milan, OH or Huntsville, AL

Key Responsibilities

    Develop complex and compelling graphics for government proposals that clearly communicate technical concepts, system architectures, schedules, process flows, organizational charts, and other visuals required by RFPs.
  • Interpret technical briefings, documentation, and engineering input to create compliant, accurate, and persuasive proposal graphics.
  • Collaborate closely with proposal managers, technical leads, engineers, and business development professionals to incorporate feedback and deliver high-quality visuals under tight deadlines.
  • Maintain consistency with corporate branding, proposal standards, and visual guidelines across all proposal and marketing deliverables.
  • Support marketing initiatives by designing digital and print materials, social media visuals, and website graphics.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on graphic design & marketing material tasks and contribute to creative strategy and planning.
  • Assist with updates and visual enhancements to Sierra Lobo's website and online presence.
  • Lead the development and ongoing production of the corporate newsletter, including coordinating content, refining written submissions, designing layouts, and ensuring timely and engaging distribution to internal and external audiences.
  • Travel may be required (<5% of time)

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in graphic design, proposal graphics, technical illustration, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to develop complex visuals for government proposals, technical documents, or other compliance-driven environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly PowerPoint and Word, for proposal and marketing deliverables.
  • Experience working within structured proposal development processes and understanding RFP graphic requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to edit, refine, and organize content for proposals and marketing communications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting NASA, DoW, or other federal government proposals.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS) and basic web design principles.
  • Understanding of branding standards and marketing communications best practices.
  • Portfolio demonstrating proposal graphics, technical visuals, and marketing design capabilities.
