We are currently looking for a full-time Grants Manager to support our work as we prepare to serve more survivors in greater ways.

What You'll Be Doing: SafeHouse Denver is seeking an experienced Grants Manager to lead the execution of all new and recurring applications, monitoring compliance and reporting outcomes for our agency with funders. This position is accountable for managing the overall revenue expectations as outlined in our fiscal year's budgeted goals related to governmental, corporate, and traditional foundation funding. The Grant Manager will orchestrate each step in the grant lifecycle in collaboration with the Leadership Team to ensure stability throughout SafeHouse Denver. The ideal candidate will have a passion for philanthropy, a growth mindset, a love for building effective interpersonal relationships, and be excited to fundraise for survivors.
Grants Management: Apply to and secure new and existing grants, continuously research new prospects, monitor and adhere to grant compliance, and write grant reports according to the funder's guidelines. Our Grant Manager will need to collaborate with all internal departments for successful outcomes for survivors of domestic violence. This includes working with the Leadership Team to identify funding needs and support the development of program-specific budgets for stability and growth within the agency.
Programs Evaluation & Reporting: Support Program Directors in developing evaluation plans to demonstrate outcomes and communicate impact to funders. Prepare and submit reports according to each funder's guidelines, ensuring timely submission and proper documentation in all reports.
Funder Relations: The Grants Manager, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Development Officer serve as the primary contacts for funders and participate in site visits. In partnership with the Leadership Team, manage communications, recommend strategies to strengthen relations, and ensure all grant-related information is entered into the donor database, DonorPerfect, daily.
Internal / Department: The Grants Manager will produce grant status reports for the Leadership Team, submit information for press releases, and engage in the revenue forecast process periodically. You will be expected to proofread all funder correspondence and agency collateral, including the Annual Report financial and donor information. Additionally, you will participate in key events and meetings, support other fundraising initiatives, and maintain positive relationships with all staff.
Do You Have What It Takes?•A strong commitment to the mission of SafeHouse Denver and the ability to articulate this, both verbally and written in grant proposals and reports is required.
•A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or three years of experience in grant writing with a record of success in securing $1M+ in annual funding is required.
•Experience in federal and state government grant management and knowledge of compliance and reporting expectations is required.
•A high level of accuracy, extraordinary attention to detail, solid proofreading skills, and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines is required.
•Experience with capital campaigns is strongly preferred.
•Knowledge of nonprofit finance, human services, and domestic violence-related issues is strongly preferred. Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision after initial orientation and SafeHouse Denver-specific training.
•Ability to foster and maintain effective relationships.
•Strong research skills and the ability to recognize and summarize critical information and convey complex information clearly in grant proposals.
What We Offer: •Competitive Pay: $67,000 - $72,000 starting salary. Full-time exempt position, with a 60-day check-in and 90-day review. Annual performance evaluations with an opportunity for merit-based increases after one full year of employment
