Job Overview

We’re a fun-loving family of four—two entrepreneurs and two wonderful kids—looking for a full-time house manager to help keep our home well-fed, well-organized, and running smoothly. This role combines culinary skill, household management, and logistical support. Dinner prep is the cornerstone of the job, but we’re looking for someone who thrives in a calm, structured, high-functioning environment.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and takes pride in both planning and execution. You’re energized by creating a well-run home, enjoy cooking, and are comfortable working with autonomy. We value rhythm, respect, and reliability—and we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with our family over the long term.

Core Responsibilities

Culinary Support (Top Priority)

• Prepare healthy, delicious family dinners (especially Mon–Wed)
• Pre-prep or batch lunches and snacks for the week
• Grocery shopping and pantry organization
• Occasionally support small dinner parties or holiday meals
• Collaborate on weekly menu planning

Household Operations

• Handle daily home tasks: laundry, dishes, linens, tidying, basic organization
• Oversee outside cleaner for deep cleaning tasks (vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms)
• Coordinate with vendors: lawn care, handymen, babysitters, etc.
• Light pet care: two cats (food, water, litter) and chickens (feed and water)

Errands & Logistics

• Run errands: groceries, post office, dry cleaning, returns, car appointments
• Help with occasional kid pickups or drop-offs
• Manage household mail, scheduling, and light admin
• Handle gift buying, wrapping, mailing, and seasonal decorating

Schedule & Flexibility

We’ve designed a weekly rhythm that covers peak need times while preserving balance and sustainability. We're also open to adjusting the schedule for the right person. The school year calendar optimizes for school dropoff and pickup and Fridays off.

Sample Schedule – School Year (Aug–May):

• Mon–Wed: 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM (with a 10 AM – 1 PM break)
• Thurs: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday Off

Sample Schedule – Summer (June–July):

• Mon–Tues: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Wed–Thurs: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Fri: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Additional Pay:

• Any hours over 40/week paid hourly
• Occasional sleepovers (when parents travel): $30/hr while kids are awake or $15/hr while kids are asleep

Family vehicle (BMW) provided for all work-related transportation and errands.
