Downtown Baltimore elite private dining and social club is looking for a #2 in the kitchen. Must have upscale, white table cloth a'la carte dining and private events culinary experience. Our service and our cuisine is quiet elegance. We have the unique experience of providing personalized service to the women members and their guests in usually small batches.
Mount Vernon Club is a 95 year old private social and dining club catering to the women members and their guests. Located in a 1841 mansion on the Mount Vernon square, we are renowned for exquisite cuisine and polished service in an unmatched atmosphere.
The culinary and service staff is small but cohesive and fully committed to providing exemplary experiences to our members. We are experienced, creative, and resourceful.
A significant benefit of working at MVC is the scheduling. The Club traditionally serves lunch Tuesday-Friday and dinner service, Thursday to Saturday. Private events are scheduled as requested. More times than not, the Club is closed for service on Sundays and Mondays. The Club has also historically been closed for six weeks in the Summer. As a salaried employee, the Sous Chef is paid year round. A holiday bonus is also awarded. While the salary might seem low for an Exec Sous Chef, the time off and the family friendly weekly schedule is a huge benefit.
