University of Pittsburgh Physicians (UPP) Anesthesia Department seeks a full-time, general anesthesiologist to join its expanding team near Pittsburgh. The successful candidate will enjoy a clinical academic appointment and provide services at its UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon locations supervising an experienced CRNA team. About The Practice UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon are two community, teaching hospitals that work together as one mini-system within the larger UPMC system to collaboratively provide care to residents of Mercer and Lawrence counties in western PA. UPMC Jameson provides the higher acuity surgical services with 6 ORs, 2 Procedure Rooms and a 12-bed ICU as well as a full array of surgeons including orthopedics, urology, general, vascular, bariatrics, breast and robotics but excluding cardiothoracic, trauma, neurosurgery and OB/GYN. Both UPMC Jameson and UPMC Horizon share an ACGME-accredited, general surgery residency program. UPMC Horizon is a smaller, lower acuity hospital with 6 ORs, a busy OB/GYN program (1,000 deliveries/yr) and a medical and radiation oncology service.
