Estimator - FDOT/Public Utilities OR Road Construction

Our client, a land development firm is looking for an Estimator in civil construction with both FDOT-Public Utilities OR Road Construction experience –someone that can price right, coordinate with vendors and subs, and own the scope from takeoff to closeout.

A site contractor in West Palm Beach with deep roots in FDOT work and municipal utility projects across South Florida with a pipeline that's strong — storm drainage, lift stations, gravity sewer, watermain, force mains, fire lines — the works.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Estimating FDOT civil and public utility projects from front to back
• Performing detailed quantity takeoffs
• Coordinating with suppliers, subcontractors, and municipalities to validate scope and pricing
• Reading and interpreting FDOT specs, standards, and utility plans
• Building estimates you can defend — with clarity, detail, and confidence

We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience in civil construction estimating (utility focus)
• Strong command of FDOT/municipal specs, bid procedures, and pay items
• Experience estimating storm, sewer, water, lift stations, force mains
• Proficiency preferred in softwares: Bid2Win/HCSS, Bluebeam, Planswift, Heavy Bid, Agtek
• Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal
• Organized, detail-oriented, deadline-driven
• Prefer local candidates or those relocating specifically to West Palm Beach. This is an on-site role.

Salary : $120-$150k, health insurance, 401K, paid holidays, PTO
