What you'll gain: As an EHS Intern,you will gain knowledge and understanding of Environmental, Health, and Safetypractices through hands-on activities, coaching, and projects. A few learningopportunities include:
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Assisting in identifyingpotential hazards and supporting the implementation of safety measures tomitigate risks in the workplace.
Compliance Monitoring: Monitoring compliance withenvironmental, health, and safety regulations, and providing solutions toensure continuous adherence to standards.
Incident Response: Responding to and assisting inthe investigation of safety incidents, including root cause analysis andthe development of corrective actions.
Safety Audits and Inspections: Conducting safety audits andinspections to identify areas for improvement and support the maintenanceof a safe work environment.
Training and Awareness: Supporting the development anddelivery of safety training programs and helping raise awareness of EHSpolicies among employees.
Sustainability Initiatives: Assisting in researching andimplementing initiatives aimed at reducing the company's environmentalfootprint and promoting sustainability.
What you need to be successful: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, in a fieldrelated to the internship
Minimum GPA requirement of a 3.0
Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Basic project management or organizational skills.
Personal Attributes: Strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of ateam.
Willingness to learn and take initiative.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Positive attitude and adaptability to new challenges.
Availability: Willingness to commit to the internship duration, typically 10-12 weeksfor a summer internship
Ability to work in the location where the internship is offered
