Title: Chief Electrical Estimator
Location: Henderson, CO , hybrid 3 days/ week
Salary Range: $150-170,00 + benefits & bonus opportunity
Must Haves:
10+ years of hard-bid estimation experience in the electrical construction industry
Experience with preconstruction estimation
Experience bidding on data center, healthcare, industrial, large commercial, wastewater or government projects
Experience leading direct reports
Plusses:
Experience working at publicly traded company
Accubid estimating software experience
Day to day:
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Chief Estimator in the Henderson, Colorado area. The Chief Estimator oversees the Estimating and Preconstruction team for electrical construction projects, managing budgets, staffing, and performance reviews. Key responsibilities include maintaining client relationships, preparing high-dollar and hard-bid estimates, updating bid logs, and improving cost data. This individual will also lead project teams, review proposals, identify risks, and innovate through continuous improvement and education. Additionally, they develop prime costs for high-value targets and provide strategies to win large bids for projects such as data centers, healthcare facilities, government projects, industrial facilities, and other complex electrical projects. This role requires extreme attention to detail, analytical skills, and a math-oriented mindset to devise the best strategies. The Chief Estimator is also responsible for business development and conceptual estimation, managing staff, leading pre-bid meetings, and ensuring compliance with company policies and ethical standards. This role will be highly visible and will require working with executives and managing a team of up to 4 estimators.
