Data Management Analyst/Consultant

Duration: 12+ Month (s) Anticipated Duration of Assignment: 12-month contract with likelihood to extend and/or convert based on performance

Location: Charlotte, NC - Hybrid Role



Job Descriptions:

• In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements within Data Management.
• Review and analyze basic or tactical Data Management assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, related to low-to-medium risk deliverables.
• Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Provide information to client personnel in Data Management.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

Project Scope:

• When there is data impact it results in required updates to the data environment, the need for these roles will be to come up with logical design solutions and write requirements that the data team can implement

Day to Day:

• The resources are helping to define requirements
• Examples include data lineage, data standard and data remediation documentation
• Transforming data for new system migrations
• The project scope is not an impact on the day to day for these resources, they are tasked with defining requirements as BAU support to the data team

Top Skills:

• Ability to run SQL Queries is the biggest ask
• Alteryx tool experience is desired
• People with Google Data Cloud experience would reach the top of the list-there is an initiative this would help with
• Experience in Data Cleansing
• Experience in Data Migration
• Transformation Logic
• Understanding of SSIS packages, ability to read data job details
• Read and understand SQL statements
• Experience in Technical Change Analysis for Data Impact
• portion of the role is request to change technology and ability to determine if there is an underlying data impact
• This is not Tableau and Power BI devs, not to say we should eliminate these resumes, just not what the job is and if they want to perform that this may not be the job for them

Soft skills:

• The team is overcapacity, someone's ability to be given an activity within a workstream and run with it then come with questions rather then being hand held
• Self-starter, can work alone
• We can't have people who will need a playbook
