Job Description

Our client, a design and manufacturing firm of electronic control systems for industrial vehicles, is seeking a Commodity Manager to join their team. As a Commodity Manager, you will be part of the Operations Team supporting Engineering & Manufacturing. The ideal candidate is responsible for managing the procurement of specific commodities and/or raw materials. The role ensures that the firm is able to source and purchase materials effectively from approved suppliers, at the best possible price, and within required timeframes. Tracks, reports, and takes action to improve on-time delivery and monthly PPV savings. Commodities handled are complex in nature This is a direct hire role and is only accepting interest from candidates local to the Milwaukee < WI metro area. No visa candidates will be considered.

Job Title: Commodity Manager
Location: Hartford, WI
Pay: $95/$125K annually, plus, benefits

Key Responsibilities

• • Collaborate with Sourcing Manager to develop, implement, and execute strategic sourcing strategies for key commodities
    • PCBA’s, electronic components, LCD’s, and plastic injection molding
  • Research, identify, and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors
  • Work with the Sourcing Manager to negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure the best value
  • Manage and monitor supplier performance to ensure adherence to quality standards, delivery timelines, and cost targets.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, tariffs, and geopolitical factors affecting commodity availability and costs.
  • Develop accurate commodity cost forecasts to support budgeting and financial planning

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in purchasing and use of ERP systems.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electronics manufacturing
• Comprehensive understanding of integrated supply chain management including principles, methods, and practices related to procurement.
• Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
