Job Description

One of the country’s top general contractors, specializing in the construction of some of the largest and most complex data center projects across the United States, is looking for a Superintendent. They are trusted partners to prestigious clients in the tech and data industries. They are currently seeking an experienced Data Center Construction Superintendent to join their team and lead high-profile projects within this growing sector. As a Data Center Construction Superintendent , you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations on large-scale data center construction sites. This is a leadership role that requires extensive experience in construction management, particularly in the data center sector, where precision and efficiency are paramount. You will work closely with the project management team, subcontractors, and clients to ensure that every project is completed on time, within scope, and with the highest standards of safety and quality. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operations of data center construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Lead and manage subcontractors, vendors, and on-site labor teams to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project specifications. Coordinate and collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to maintain project goals. Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and ensure OSHA and other regulatory compliance at all times. Monitor and manage project timelines, ensuring any potential delays or issues are addressed promptly. Conduct site inspections, ensuring all work meets industry standards, codes, and client specifications. Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, issues, and resolutions. Serve as the primary point of contact between the construction team, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Manage logistics and scheduling for material deliveries and construction personnel. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent , with a strong background in data center construction or similarly complex technical projects. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct crews and subcontractors. Deep understanding of data center construction processes, including MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) systems, power distribution, and cooling systems. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and regulatory compliance. Proficiency with project management tools and construction software. Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred). Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, PMP, LEED) are a plus.
