Job Title: Chemical Operator

Job Description

The operator will be responsible for monitoring computer software sensors throughout the facility and recording any variances in readings. This role is essential in a company dedicated to producing ethanol from recycled products.

Responsibilities

• Monitor computer software sensors throughout the facility.
• Record readings and note any variances on an hourly basis.
• Monitor and adjust liquid and steam levels for efficient operation.
• Monitor the pH levels of wastewater discharge and record test results.
• Safely start, monitor, and shut down the Evaporation System.
• React to abnormal conditions, breakdowns, and emergencies.
• Unload and load tanker trucks, railcars, syrup trucks, totes, barrels, and kegs.
• Submit work orders for equipment and facilities requiring maintenance.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production and machine operation.
• Proficiency in computer operation for monitoring production activities and sensors.
• Knowledge of chemical mixing and general labor tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a production environment is advantageous.
• Capability to handle emergency situations effectively.

Work Environment

Work in a non-temperature controlled distilling environment, which is non-unionized. Safety gear such as steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and a hard hat are required when in the production area. Most tasks will be completed in an office setting.

This is a Permanent position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $45760.00/yr.
