Grants Pass Toyota is seeking an Automotive Technician to join our team. An Automotive Technician performs diagnostics and repairs in all areas, in addition to being specialized in a particular area of repair. A positive attitude and willingness to be a team member are essential to this position. Dependent on level of experience and certifications pay ranges from $50,000 - $120,000 yearly. Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose cause of any malfunctions and perform repairs correctly the first time.
• Communicate with Parts Department effectively parts needed for repairs.
• Examine vehicle and communicate with Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed.
• Adheres to factory requirements for parts under warranty.
• Road tests vehicles when required to duplicate concern and/or verify repair
• Document all work on repair order.
• Performs multi-point inspection
• Participates in manufacturer sponsored training programs.
• Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins.
• Other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• ASE Certifications in one or more of the following; Automatic Transmission Certification, Brake Certification, Electrical/ Electronic Systems Certification, Engine Performance Certification, Engine Repair Certification, Heating and A/C Certification, Manual Drive Certification, Suspension and Steering Certification
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
• Available to work some weekends
• Positive attitude
• Clean driving record
• Valid driver's license
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen
