The Stain Specialist is responsible for assessing and executing stain projects as assigned. This position will possess a high level of skill and experience specific to the stain scope as well as other painting functions

Essential Job Functions:

• Measures area to be stained to determine material quantity.
• Identifies and verifies product type, color, and finish to be used on projects.
• Orders materials directly from suppliers / submits allocation tickets to Company warehouse.
• Masks, removes, covers, or otherwise protects floors, hardware, trim, furniture and other surfaces as needed to complete stain tasks.
• Sands and prepares surfaces as required for proper stain finish.
• Applies stain, polyurethane, and other specialty products with expert application techniques.
• Must have extensive experience with stain matching techniques and applications.
• Maintains proper inventory of products and tools on work vehicle to complete assigned jobs.
• Complies with chemical and waste storage disposal and storage regulations / best practices.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and provide consistently executed work.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

• 3+ years of experience with stain projects
• Ability to learn new software systems specific to the business.
• Valid driver's license for 3+ years and insurable under the company insurance policy.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required
