By-Products Trader
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: The By-Products Trader is responsible for domestic and international trade of animal and vegetable by-products to create additional value for JBS. This role will be based at our Corporate Office in Greeley, CO.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of global vendors and customers to create the supply channels required to increase volume and margin
- Develop international market access in conjunction with JBS' international offices
- Research and analyze globally traded markets for economic impacts to our businesses
- Ensure the Company's financial interests are protected with active risk management
- Collaborate with logistics & finance teams to efficiently execute trades and manage P&L
- Attend industry conferences to represent the Company and advance relationships
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field, or equivalent career experience
- Previous commodity trading experience strongly preferred
- Previous agricultural or biofuel trading experience highly desired
- Knowledge of shipping and logistics - both domestic and international
- Effective communication to all levels of a global company
- Microsoft Office applications, including: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $95,000-$145,000; and
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
