Bus Garage Mechanic Wanted!

The State College Area School District has an opening for a Mechanic in the Bus Garage.

This is a full-time, twelve-month position, daylight hours with a half-hour unpaid lunch. The starting wage is $23.70/hour.

This position is responsible for:

• Maintaining District school buses and other student transportation vehicles to keep them safe and in good running order at all times.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performing routine maintenance and preventative maintenance on vehicles
• Performing special repairs and modifications according to facilities and tools available
• Maintaining repair cards for each vehicle
• Performing Bus Garage snow removal.

Applicants must be at least 19 years of age, hold a valid PA Driver’s License, and have a safe driving record. Must have Class 7 inspection license or the ability to obtain within 60 days of start.
