About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Local and Community Relations to serve as its primary liaison to local government and community stakeholders. Applicants for the Associate Vice President position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 12 years of experience in local government and community relations. Familiarity with higher education policy and experience in community relations, public outreach, and coalition-building are highly valued. The ideal candidate will have a background in public administration, political science, law, or higher education administration, and experience in supervising staff and budgets. The position is a senior role within the government affairs team and involves directing the work of a Government Affairs Analyst. The candidate should be adept at strategic planning, and event execution, and be able to work closely with various units on campus to ensure coordinated advocacy.
