Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of market-rate and luxury rental properties in New York City. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring that properties are maintained to the highest standards, residents receive exceptional service, and ownership objectives are met. This role requires strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced urban real estate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the daily management of market-rate and luxury rental properties across the portfolio.
Respond promptly and professionally to tenant inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests.
Support the leasing process, including unit showings, application processing, lease preparation, and move-in/move-out coordination.
Conduct regular property inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with building standards.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and maintenance staff for repairs and capital projects.
Track rent collections, prepare delinquency reports, and assist with arrears follow-up.
Maintain accurate records, files, and reports related to leases, resident information, and property operations.
Support the Property Manager in preparing budgets, financial reports, and operational updates.
Ensure compliance with NYC housing regulations, rent guidelines, and building codes.
Contribute to resident retention by fostering positive tenant relations and planning resident engagement initiatives.
Salary: $75,000 - $95,000
