We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Architectural Drafting Technician to join our local design studio. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the production and development of Architectural contract drawings and documentation, utilizing AUTOCAD/REVIT drafting software to produce working construction drawings for our projects. This position requires a strong understanding of architectural detailing and construction materials, methods and principles for construction. Candidate should also have the ability and experience to collaborate effectively with engineers and project managers.

Qualifications

• Must be a Hawaii resident with the ability to work in-office.  This is not a remote position.
• Bachelors in Architecture or an Associates of Science degree in Architectural or Engineering Technologies, Computer Aided Design, or equivalent is highly preferred.
• 4+ years of techinical work experience in architectural drafting.
• Team player with effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce detailed architectural drawings for various types of architectural projects using AUTOCAD/REVIT software products.
• Collaborate with architects and project managers to understand project requirements and incorporate production schedules and timelines for the project work to be completed by phases.
• Create 3D models and renderings using tools such as Sketchup, Revit, or other software.
• Prepare CAD drawing layouts, elevations, sections, architectural detailing for various projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
• Utilize Bluebeam for document management and collaboration on project plans.
• Assist in the development of in-house system designs, ensuring functionality and efficiency.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on design improvements or modifications.
• Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and project documentation.

Skills

• Proficiency with U.S. National CAD Standards required.
• Familiarity with current building codes and regulations
• Strong knowledge of drafting software including AUTOCAD, Sketchup, Revit, and Bluebeam.
• Ability to create architectural production and construction drawings.
• Ability to provide constructin detailing for interior design finishing and concepts are a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members across various disciplines.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
