This position in the Finance organization reports to the Senior Manager of Fleet Transactions. The analyst/senior analyst will support all activities related to aircraft leasing. The successful candidate will take ownership, responsibility, and accountability of assigned projects and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Support the aircraft lease renewal negotiation process, and other aircraft lease related projects
  • Review agreements and identify opportunities to improve terms and conditions
  • Foster relationships with external counterparts, primarily aircraft lessors and counsel
  • Collaborate with AA counsel to ensure proper documentation of agreed commercial terms
  • Support aircraft novations and transfers by verifying contractual provisions are satisfied
  • Ensure contractual lease obligations are being met
  • Primary point of contact to all relevant stakeholders internally for aircraft lease related matters (accounting, legal, tech ops, tax, finance, etc)
  • Maintain and update internal database for all aircraft transactional information
  • Manage ad hoc projects related to fleet administration
  • Other special projects and tasks as assigned

All You'll Need For Success

Minimum Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience

  • College degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • 2-3 years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications - Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with internal/external stakeholders
  • Contracts and negotiation experience
  • Technical knowledge of aircraft and engines preferred
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
