Responsibilities
* Provide information and documentation to the supervisors/managers.
* Provide services with respect to complex fund transactions.
* Ability to follow established accounting guidelines and assist with planning by gathering information.
* Interact with all levels within the organization and at clients.
* Demonstrate needed knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards and techniques to complete assignments in a timely manner with supervision.
* Demonstrate ability to prepare basic financial reports and simple footnote disclosures with supervision.
* Prepare clear and complete working papers in accordance with Marcum's policies and engagement management directions.
* Responsive on a timely basis to client questions and requests.
* Keep current on professional pronouncements
* Put forthright a diligent effort to pass CPA exam and advance technical knowledge.
* Proactively participate in professional development opportunities, i.e. Mentoring Program.
* Act as a representative for Marcum and aids in identifying and recruiting candidates into our firm.
Qualifications
* BBA/BS/MS in Accounting
* Eligible to sit for the CPA
* 1-3 years of relevant experience
