Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Description:
Mechanical Assembler
We are immediately hiring in Waukesha, WI for an experienced mechanicalassembler responsible for assembling structural steel and inspection ofcompleted parts. You’ll be working the first shift, Monday through Fridayfrom 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Mechanical Assembler Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
Hand torch, preheating and welding operation
Drilling and tapping
Handling and Moving Objects – Using forklifts, overhead cranes and manual pallet jack
Read blueprints and verify the parts required prior to assembly
Organizing, planning, and prioritizing work
Communicate with supervisors, peers, or subordinates
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Mechanical Assembler Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent experience
At least 2 years of working as a Heavy Mechanical Assembler
Assembly tools knowledge required
Experience in drilling and tapping, expert blueprint reading to assemble large weldments containing several hundred parts
Measuring tools knowledge required
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations required.
Ability to move or transfer products with an overhead crane, forklift or stand-up may be required.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required.
Required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms.
